My name is Markiesha L, I was born and raised in Washington D.C. my entire life with my eight siblings. Being around so many siblings and helping to care for them sparked my interest in working in childcare. I graduated high school in 2018 and then went along to get my associate's degree in early childcare education from the school University of the District of Columbia. While obtaining my associate's I worked for many jobs to garner experience in the childcare field. Such as a before & aftercare teacher, an elementary school dedicated aid, a lead teacher in a childcare center, and a summer camp counselor. I am very energetic and creative. I love to do arts and crafts such as creating volcanoes, drawing, and playing Play-Doh. I also have experience in creating lesson plans, assisting with homework, and changing diapers. Having experience from these jobs will help me to be a great babysitter for all the families that want my services. I am looking forward to continuing my work with all the amazing families that I will get a chance to meet!

Hey I’m a stay at mom to a 14 year old and also a caregiver for my 6 year old nephew. I grew up with a big family and have always loved being around kids. I have also worked as a substitute teacher and taught children from daycare to high school aged kids. I have always had a big support system when it comes to my family so I know it takes a village to raise a child. I look forward to being apart of your village.
