I started babysitting in high school, and I haven’t stopped working with children since.I earned my BS and MS in Human Development and Family Studies at UA, and when I wasn’t studying developmental theories, I was often applying them through experience. I have mentored and tutored elementary school students, served as a counselor at overnight camps (ages 7-15), assisted and directed at day camps, and worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at an early childhood development center. I have worked with children of diverse backgrounds, identities, and developmental levels both in Tuscaloosa and Northern Illinois. I consistently strive to ensure a fun, safe environment for all children I work with and am not afraid to break a sweat playing outside or helping to understand the tougher math problems!

I am currently a sophomore at the University of Alabama studying psychology. I am a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Women’s Fraternity here at the university. I have loved getting to know so many girls and making connections that will last a lifetime. During my summers I work at an over night summer camp as a lifeguard and counselor over the period of one weeks sessions for eight weeks. I During moved to Alabama from South Caroline and I am really enjoying the atmosphere so far.

I have worked professionally with children as a camp counselor at Riverview in Mentone, where I gained valuable skills in caring for, educating, and entertaining children responsibly. :)

I previously worked as the Pre-K teacher during the summer knights summer program! I’ve worked with kids since I was 15 years old in after school programs and random babysitting jobs!
