Hi my name is Natalie! I just graduated a semester early from Loyola University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology. Over the years I have worked with many families in Houston where I grew up and go back for summers. I have babysat a wide range of kids of all different ages (infant- 11 years old) and from all different families (only child and multiple children). I am a big believer in hands on learning, being out in nature and building imagination within children. I would characterize myself as very outgoing, energetic, playful, responsible and kind. I hope to teach K-12 in the near future and in the mean time have been running an after school program called “Philosopher Kids” at Holy Name Elementary School! I graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. After undergrad I got an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adult from Hamline. I’m from Minneapolis, but I spent about 7 years in Chicago after college. I worked at a K-8 charter school for 5 years. There I worked as a Special Education teacher and a student services coordinator. In my role as a SSC I worked with sick and injured kids and this inspired my passion to go to nursing school to work as a school nurse. Recently I’ve worked as a postpartum doula so I have a lot of experience working with infants.
