Hello! I'm a 27 yr old Williamson County native, Belmont Univ. Student and currently a resource teacher (aka substitute) at a KinderCare School in Brentwood where I’ve worked for over 3 years, before switching to part time while I’m back in school to finish my bachelor of science. At KinderCare, I’ve been a teacher for months on end for all ages, including newborns all the way to 6-7 yrs old. I have 10+ years of childcare experience: Nannying from ages 16-25, to now as a TN-ELDS certified, Common Core State Standards-trained, CPR certified early educator. I have the social skills, professional knowledge, & personality to make learning exciting/fun for all ages! Daily outdoor time is a priority (& joy) to me. Hobbies: crafting, making my own clothes/jewelry, playing musical instruments and dancing! I danced, myself, for over 15 years, trained in pointe ballet, & danced W/ the Nashville Ballet. Hello! I am Carlye Schmidt, I will be the Pre-1 teacher this year. This is a brief letter about myself. I was born in Oklahoma City, and moved to Wetumpka when I was 16 years old. I attended Montgomery Catholic, where I graduated from high school. At Auburn University, I went on to receive my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, and I minored in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies. Before working at Grace Pointe, I worked for the YMCA Camp Chandler as a summer day camp counselor. Currently, I am a pre-1 teacher! I’m looking for extra babysitting opportunities.
