I have experience working with infants from about 4 months old; including but not limited to , preparing bottles , notifying parents of changes in bowel movements when changing diapers (if needed, or baby has specific needs), introducing shapes, colors, and numbers to them, and mindful correction. Mindful correction is what I call the ability to be patient and communicate with little ones without harm, threats or anger; I strongly believe in this form of teaching and strive to make every kids' voice heard and validated, while communicating correction and having discussions when needed. Hi everyone! My name is Ava, I am a freshman Sustainability Studies major at the University of Texas at Austin. I am from Dallas, Texas, where I graduated from the Hockaday School this past May. I recently joined the Omega chapter of Alpha Phi on campus, and am so excited to get involved with other activities such as dance and harp.
