Hi! My name is Ishani and I am a junior at UAB majoring biomedical sciences. I love working with kids and I have experience in babysitting and tutoring kids of various ages. I am also CPR/AED certified. I have experience working as a Patient Care Tech at UAB hospital and am now working as a medical assistant at Children’s Hospital.

As a (soon to be) doctor of occupational therapy, I have the skill set to keep your child learning, playing, and safe while you get some much needed parent time. Whether this is a long term or short term placement, my job is to bond with your child so you know they are having a great time. I have been certified in many different safety procedures such as safe swimming, severe weather, CPR/AED, Choking, First Aid, and more. Hey! I am from Birmingham, AL. But I’m originally from Costa Rica, I was adopted when I was 11 years old. I can speak Spanish and English. I went to Homewood High School. Now, I am a freshman at UAB. I am studying nursing and I’m hoping to go into NICU or L&D.I’ve been babysitting for 10 years and I also petsit and house-sit. I babysit for small groups on Wednesday and Sundays(5-14 kids). Starting on August, I’ll be a teacher at a daycare in Homewood which I am super excited about. I’ve volunteered at Hand -in-Hand Daycare for 2 years. I also recently started a volunteering job as a Pro-health Hospice and I am really loving it. I am a volunteer at the children’s hospital.
