My name is Camille and I am a current student at the University of Memphis, studying to get my Bachelors in Elementary Education with a license in Special Education.I have been working with kids and toddlers since I was 14 years old.My experience includes being a summer sleep-away camp counselor for two years, a co-leader for Girl Scouts, and have been a babysitter for family and friends. During these time my responsibilities included getting the children dressed, showered, doing arts and crafts, various outside activities, cooking, and the occasional transportation by car. I currently work as an aftercare teacher, where I am responsible for children ages 1-5. As an aftercare teacher, I facilitate meaningful activities and engage with the children in these activities. Hey! I have lived in the Memphis area my whole life and love it! I graduated in May of 2023 from the University of Memphis and this has been my first year teaching. I am an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher at a school in East Memphis. I work with kids in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade and I love it! I worked after school care for 2 years at an elementary school called PDS. I worked with early childhood, ages 2-6 for one year and then I worked with 7-10 year olds my second year. I also worked with 2-7 year olds for 3 summers at the summer day camp at PDS. I learned a lot about working with kids from others I worked with and from my own experiences while working there.
