Hello!My name is Ellen! I am 29 years old. I took my first babysitting class when I was 13, and I've been babysitting on and off for over 15 years now, with children ranging in ages from 6 months to 13 years old. I recently babysat for years for several families in Sparks, NV who I adored! I have several years of experience working with kids as a swim teacher, camp counselor, educator and more. I also have my CPR and First Aid certifications. My babysitting style is usually laid back with lots of fun and games- I find that the kids (and parents!) appreciate it! I also try to have the kids avoid screen time as much as possible. I love pets and have no issues with them. I am excited to work with you and your kids and have a great time! :)

Born an raised in Costa Rica, family values are extremely important to me and I grew up serving children around me since I was 9 as a tutor and nanny to their families. Moved to the USA in 2019 to pursue a career as a software engineer and, while I enjoyed the field, there is nothing more satisfying that building up the next generation and seeing the world through the lens of a child. My husband and I are enjoying being newly married and we both love children. I am currently getting Montessori certified so that I can better support our future children. I am looking forward to reconnecting to this part of my vocation through serving my local community. I have worked with over 100 kids throughout 16 years of tutoring and babysitting across 2 countries and 3 states. With an engineering and linguist background, I love to engage children in science, math, and language learning. I am also hard of hearing and have a younger deaf brother, so I love working with children with disabilities and have volunteered at a Montessori school for deaf children in Costa Rica. I am passionate about respecting and supporting each child's development, personality, and purpose. It brings me so much joy to work with children and I wish to be a blessing in your child's life.
