Hi! I am in my senior year of nursing school at Belmont University. I am an outgoing, enthusiastic, responsible caretaker with extensive experience with children of all ages, starting when I was 13.During the summer from ages 16-21, I worked for the City of San Diego Fire-Rescue service as an oceanfront lifeguard. I also worked for the Junior Lifeguard program, where I was responsible for entertaining groups of ~20 children aged 9-11 with fun, challenging activities daily. This program promotes water safety, where we run, swim in the 3-7ft ocean waves, surf, paddle board, and even more! The end goal was to jump off the pier- a 15-foot jump for this age group. The goal is to build rapport and trust with your group so everyone feels confident enough to jump off. In high school, I was co-president of Circle of Friends, which is a club that promotes socialization between general education and special education students by planning lunches during school and out-of-school activities, such as school dances. My goal is to build a trusting relationship based on safety, nurturing, and respect, while listening to the child's needs! I love watching children grow and become independent. I love playing, exploring, going on adventures with kids! Their wonder and curiousity about the world helps me expand my own mind and perspectives. When I graduate in December, I hope to become a Pediatric Emergency Department nurse.
