Hi everyone! My name is Madelyn! I am currently pursuing an Associate's degree and a real estate license, with expected completion by Summer 2025. I have been working with families since 2018, starting out babysitting for extended family members and later expanding to others in our community. In 2021, I began my first nanny job with one of the loveliest families, with whom I am still in contact today! I worked with them for six months before starting my first semester at UAB. After a semester at UAB, I was set up with a wonderful family in Mountain Brook, for whom I nannied from 2022 to 2023. During this time, I also babysat between my scheduled nannying hours. Some of my responsibilities included: - Providing attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being - Organizing and engaging children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to promote development and learning - Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences - Assisting with homework and educational projects to support academic progress - Managing daily routines, including dressing, bathing, and bedtime - Coordinating playdates and social activities to foster social skills and friendships - Regularly communicating with parents about children's progress, activities, and concerns - Maintaining a clean and organized environment, including play areas and bedrooms - Transporting children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments I also have a lovely family I stay over night for when expected traveling comes up. She is around 11 years old and Iβm responsible for getting her ready for school, dropping her off at school and picking her up. As well as getting her home to work on school before getting her ready for extracurriculars, taking her to said extracurricular and picking her up before getting dinner and home in time for bedtime. All while her parents get to spend their vacation worry free knowing their daughter has been taking care of while also having fun time at home! I have experience with children from newborns to 14 years old. For as a little bit about myself I enjoy reading, painting, shopping, and spending quality time with those I love. I hope to meet new families in my Birmingham community! I am also caught up on all of my vaccinations such as Covid & the TDAP.

Hello, my name is Luci! Since high school, I have cared for many children on an occasional basis and enjoyed every second. During the past 5 years, I worked for three families with young children ranging from 6 months old to 6 years old. I also spent one summer nannying an 8 year old girl. However, my love for babysitting has blossomed over the last year while nannying a 4 year old boy, especially being able to see him grow through his first year in pre-school. With a bachelorβs degree in Psychology from UAB, I am very aware of the positive impact a secure and nurturing environment can have on children. As such, I am committed to providing exciting, safe, and supportive experiences to any child I care for, even if only for a couple hours! I am comfortable caring for children of varying needs and backgrounds as long as I am provided with adequate information to best inform my caregiving. I strive to be a compassionate, outgoing, and welcoming person everyday! I am starting my PhD in Developmental Psychology this August to continue growing my understanding of childrenβs behavior and needs. I would be happy to send you the contact of my last employer and canβt wait to get to know you and your child!
