Hi! My name is Vanessa. With over 5 years experience in childcare (both professionally and within my own family), I’m a dependable caregiver who is dedicated to creating a safe and engaging environment for children. I am particularly passionate about assisting with homework/activities, encouraging playtime, and serving as a trusted companion. (I remember how important my babysitter was to me growing up!) I provided after-school care for two energetic boys (ages 3 and 6) for three years, ensuring a fun and structured routine, and continued to babysit them on weekends for nearly three years. Additionally, my experience helping raise my younger siblings—including driving them to activities, assisting with homework, and supporting their development—has given me valuable skills in multitasking and patience. As a tutor and mentor, I’ve also guided students in navigating their schoolwork and technology, fostering their confidence and independence. Beyond my professional experience, I will bring a sense of empathy and positive energy that will encourage and motivate your children. In my free time, I love to rock climb; go to concerts; take naps with my cat; and write short stories! I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and your children. ☺️
