About Leighanna

I’m the oldest daughter of 10, so I have taken a caretaker role in a lot of my younger siblings growing up this made me what to pursue elementary education. I love helping kids grow and develop into their own individual people. I also love helping kids reach an AHA moment when something finally clicks with them. I have known I wanted to teach from a young age so I worked hard to make my dreams into reality and graduated high school three classes away from an associates degree. I am currently a second year Junior at SIU.
