About Alana

Hello! I'm looking to find a family I can babysit or nanny for this summer (or if you have an infant and are looking for an overnight sitter so you can get some sleep!!). I am a recent graduate from FSU with a specialty in caring for infants to 3-year-olds, though I love working with children of all ages. I have extensive experience with infants, having started babysitting newborns when I began my babysitting journey. Back home, I have built long-term relationships with four families, starting with their first child as a newborn. I've continued to care for these children, who are now over 7 years old, and several families have grown to include multiple children. I feel most comfortable and experienced with newborns and infants. With 11 years of babysitting experience, starting when I was 11 years old, I have cared for children ranging from newborns to 10 years old. My experience includes working in church nurseries and children's rooms, and I have also been a preschool teacher for 2-year-olds. This background has equipped me with skills in teaching and managing multiple children at once. I am very hands-on and believe in the importance of physical affection to make children feel loved and valued. I also advocate for early development of social and verbal skills. I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for childcare to your family!
