On-Campus Activity
I am currently attending UAB, perusing the Department of Social work. I would love to work with children and families in a hospital. Be the advocate to fight for their needs. Help overcome there hardships. I choose this career because I believe God has given me the gift to help children, teens or families that are going through a hardship. I attend the Student Social work Organizaron. Where we come in get the experience and training into our field in social work with our UAB campus. We feed and help the homeless that deserve to be cared for, stop domestic violence for mothers. So we come in at UAB with flyers, sweets cards to make for women that have gone through violence. UAB Hospital’s Healings Word, was one of my favorites I had the opportunity to volunteer to patients that are going through a rough illness. I helped with anything they needed by reading, singing, communicating, the attention they deserve. Camp Fire was another favorite. I went to Hoover Middle school to stop bullying. I would give out lectures on how to show respect, honesty, loyalty and more. It was nice helping the kids to overcome their hard situations in their lives and school. We taught them how to make a difference, To be themselves not like the crowd. To show respect and be treated the way they would want to be treated. It was great seeing them understand how serious it is to stop bullying.
