As an Engineering Ambassador, I represent UAB’s School of Engineering at student engagement and recruitment events, give tours to prospective students and parents, and manage our social media presence. , I am a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Graphics, and Intro to Engineering. In these classes I assist professors during lecture to answers students questions and help them through the course. I also offer help sessions outside of class where students can meet with me one on one to get help with learning different computer programs, like SolidWorks and AutoCAD. , I have recently been selected for two leadership and service positions in UAB’s Honors College. One position I have been selected for is an Honors SMART Leader. As one of these leaders, I will guide students through an Honors Retreat their first weekend on campus to get them acquainted with UAB and the Honors College. I will continue to be a resource for them after the retreat and into their Freshman year. The other position I’ve been selected for is an Honors Ambassador. As an Honors Ambassador, I will represent UAB’s Honors College by attending events for current and prospective Honors students and assisting with Orientations over the summer.
