About Tanci
Hi! I'm Tanci and I'm currently seeking assignments as an evening or weekend sitter. Until mid 2018, I was a full time nanny for two amazing girls under 4 years old who transitioned to formal schooling. I'm in grad school & work full-time at UAB but I miss being around children. I have 6+ years of experience working in nurseries/preschool settings and can provide references upon request. My strategy in creating a safe, nurturing environment is consistent, enthusiastic engagement. I've found that the best way forward with newborns, toddlers, preteens and parents is to display genuine interest & empathy in my interactions and I focus on creativity and communication while avoiding an overdependence on technology. Tanci was early (which is saying something because we live pretty far away and my son immediately took to her. They sang songs and played all night. She put him to bed with no problems. We would use tanci again.
