I graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Immediately after graduation, I moved to a rural Inuit community in Toksook Bay, Alaska. It is here that I began my career as a public school teacher. For four years, I taught in a dual-language elementary school, where I taught grades ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade. While completing masters courses in education policy, I decided to relocate to Washington, D.C.

I also have professional experience at children's summer camps as well as with a few families who I have directly worked for. I also work at a domestic violence non-profit so I am trained, trauma-informed and have helped lead children's group therapy sessions.
