About Brittany

Brittany "Brii" Carter was raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to South Carolina in February 2021. She has been working with youth for over 12 years in the public school system as an after school educator. Her inspiration for being a teacher is to make a difference in children’s lives. Her most impactful teachers didn’t just teach their subject area, they taught life lessons that instilled life values. She encourages as well as provides youth with opportunities to practice leadership skills, community building skills, organizational skills and more. When youth create it helps build organizational and leadership skills because they are the decision makers. Having youth work together as a team helps build community. She doesn’t consider her just a dance educator but a mentor to all youth. She motivates them to bring out their best by providing them with opportunities to grow in all aspects of their lives.
