About Aakilah

Hello, parents! My name is Aakilah and I am excited to introduce myself as a potential caregiver for your child. I have always had a passion for working with children, which led me to pursue a degree in Psychology in hopes of doing behavioral therapy work.  Over the past 3 years, I have gained valuable experience working with children of various ages, ranging from infants to pre-teens. I have worked as a nanny, babysitter, a daycare teacher  and even volunteered at community centers. My approach to childcare is centered around creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. I believe in encouraging their curiosity, creativity, and independence while providing structure and guidance when needed. I understand that every child is unique with different needs and interests. Therefore, I strive to adapt my caregiving style accordingly. Whether it be engaging in imaginative play or helping with homework, I aim to foster a positive relationship built on trust, respect, and open communication.
