Hello there! Career childcare provider with 8 years+ of experience here. I have worked with private families through agencies and independently, and also in childcare centers. My most experience lies with newborn-18month olds, but I have spent a great amount of time with toddlers and preschoolers as well. I am comfortable with: Baby led weaning Baby sign language Reggio Emilia/Montessori Philosophy Conscious discipline Developmentally appropriate activities Swimming I value spending time listening to music, singing aloud, and spending plenty of time outdoors - it is essential for development for all ages! I also value child-directed learning through play, with some guidance to challenge their abilities creatively. I value open communication and transparency with parents, and am comfortable adhering to various parenting styles. My childrearing style: growth-minded Positive self talk Praise children for efforts versus outcome/intelligence. Promote quiet time / independent play Give autonomy to make risks (but I am always close in distance to prevent injuries) Healthy eating habits (no refined sugars, mostly organic etc) There is so much to talk about!
