About Niky

Hi! I just graduated from UAB this year with my bachelor’s degree in biology. I am from Troy, AL but moved to Birmingham, AL 4 years ago for school. I am the oldest of 3 - fun fact, my youngest brother and I have an 11 year age gap! I am passionate about working with children and would love to go into the pediatric field after finishing my masters. If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out to me. I am a Kappa Delta! I have served in multiple leadership positions in the past 3 years since I’ve been in this organization and it has taught me so much. One of KD’s philanthropies is the Girl Scouts of America, so we often get to engage in fun activities with them and build confidence in them!
Off-Campus Involvement
I volunteer at the Exceptional Foundation, a nonprofit organization serving individuals with special needs in the Birmingham area. We participate in social and recreational events for individuals ranging in age from 5 to 81. I also volunteer at UAB’s Blazer Kitchen, an on campus food pantry that provides food security and resources for those who need it.
