About Michaela

Hello! My name is Michaela, I am a student at the University of Alabama, and I’m originally from Houston, Texas. I grew up being the second oldest of 17 grandkids, so to say I have experience with children might be a bit of an understatement, haha! I am studying to become a nurse, and want to pursue a doctoral degree so that I can specialize in acute pediatric care. Working with kids is something I have always loved to do, and obviously something I want to continue doing. I started babysitting in my family at the age of 10, and over the years became a community sitter for my neighbors and fellow church families and served as a volunteer at summer camps and in my church’s children’s ministry. As a sitter, I am a firm believer in being present with your child(ren). Growing up, my favorite babysitters were the ones who not only played dress up and Barbie with me, but they could make cleaning the house and doing my homework fun too. I have always aspired to be just like them, making children feel seen and loved, while also making you, the parents, assured that your wants and needs as well as desires for your children are met. Whether you are wanting a long night out or just a free hour to run errands, I will devote myself to more than supervising your child(ren), I will will devote myself to caring for your family!
