The Origin Story
Ginger Mayfield and her husband Tommy, both Vanderbilt University alumni, founded Wyndy to address the challenges they faced finding reliable babysitters for their two daughters. After moving to Birmingham, where Tommy practiced law and Ginger pursued her master's degree, they struggled to coordinate dependable childcare.
Inspired by the simplicity of mobile apps for services like ridesharing, they created Wyndy, a platform that connects parents with background-checked, full-time college students for babysitting, merging trust with technology to make hiring a sitter as easy as ordering groceries.
